When most people think of a shredding company, they primarily think of a paper shredder who comes onsite or allows them to drop off the items to be shredded. While we, at XpresShred, do offer those services (and more!), we also provide hard drive destruction.

Responsible Shredding

With our secure mobile shredding, we come to your location to shred documents and hard drives. You may not realize it, but hard drives have a ton of information, such as client/customer records and more. Even old computers can have significant amounts of data that can be used by hackers.

Secure shredding is imperative to ensure that nothing remains of the old hard drive. It cannot be put back together and the information cannot be retrieved.

Our Process

As your preferred shredding company, we shred or recycle a variety of media items, such as CDs, floppy disks, and tapes. Even these classics can be accessed for information if not destroyed.

Secure shredding entails that we follow a strict process when handling hard drives. This process includes:

Scanning serial numbers onsite (mobile shredding services) to provide custody chain
Transportation to a NAID AAA-certified secure site for off-site disposal OR, onsite shredding using specialty equipment
Hard drive physically destroyed to unrecoverable bits
Certificate of Destruction provided to you (including serial numbers/date of destruction)
Recycling of shredded hard drives for environmental purposes

It is easy to see, our process is much more advanced than you’d get if you purchased a portable paper shredder for the office. We do offer to shred your paper documents, as well and we can come to your location, you can drop it off when you have time, or you can schedule a time for us to pick up your documents.
